5 Product features you probably didn’t know existed
Euro Containers Cross Stacking
Euro Containers are used a lot in Automation and as sturdy containers for storage and transit. Ranging from little more than the size of a shoe right up to containers that you could row across the Atlantic, they come in a variety of capacities. But have you ever wondered what the ridge on the bottom of a Euro Container is for?
Many people don’t know, so let’s explain. While you can stack Euro Containers on top of each other, this ridge allows you to “Cross Stack”. This makes a pallet load of Euro Containers even more secure. Essentially you rotate one layer 90 degrees as you lay them on top and the ridge allows the sides of the Euro Containers below to slot in.
This video explains Euro Container cross-stacking nicely.

Plus Pallet – Wrap Fastener
On the side of Exporta Global’s PLUS Pallet – see link here for full specs – is a little “Lug” that has baffled many a warehouse person. Which is strange because it was warehouse people that requested the feature. You see it’s really time consuming to tie on plastic wrap to a pallet. Plus it looks awful and is a real frustration to get rid of at the end destination. So we introduced this little lug, that allows people to very quickly and easily attach wrap before wrapping around the products. At the other end it’s easily removed without having to get the Stanley blade out.
Check out this little video which explains it.
Plus Pallet holds up to 25% more load than it’s competitors and is a FREE upgrade with your next order. Find out more.
ALC Pro – Fold Flat Sides
Attached Lid Containers are everywhere. You see them in storage, transport, archive rooms, garages, pharmaceuticals … Just everywhere. But this particular ALC has a little known secret. It’s lids, when opened fully, hang vertically. Why is that good? Well, it means when it’s not in use, you can stack these inside each other and take up less space. Simple.

Picker Crate – Stack and Nest
The V-Crate Picker crate is very popular amongst food growers. It’s light, it’s strong, and it’s well ventilated. But were surprised to learn that not many people were aware of why it is dual coloured. One end is dark grey and one end is red. It’s coloured this way because depending whether you stack red to red or red to black this clever crate stacks or nests. So Red to Red and it stacks, Red to Grey it nests. Simply brilliant design. This could save you significant return trip costs as it would take up much less room when in nested orientation.
Check out the video below, as it illustrates the feature nicely.

Rigid Pallet Box – Outlet Tap
If you use Rigid Pallet Boxes – You know those pallet sized boxes that are super strong – then you may or may not have noticed a circular indent to the bottom left of one of the sides. These boxes are extremely useful because you can double stack them within a container – which could halve your shipping costs. But back to that little circle. Actually it’s a drainage point. You can fit little valves or taps to the box and if you’re carrying fluids within it, literally drain the box of it’s contents. Very nifty and as Michael Caine would say “Not a lot of people know that…
